Open MetaTrader
In the "Navigator" window, find the expert advisor or indicator you need
Double-click on your chosen option
Customise its settings and confirm by clicking the "OK" button.
Please note: To check whether the advisor or indicator is activated, simply right click on the chart and in the menu you will see both a list of indicators and a list of expert advisors.
